What does this mean? 138 earthquakes in the past 3 days, And ours was the strongest, here in the Philippines we have experienced a magnitude 6.6 intesity 5 quake, and when i searched it up on google i was shocked, i thought we we're the only one who experienced it, but multiple countries that are not from the same continent felt it aswell, in the same time. Again, what could this mean?

Well, does it say what every earthquake's magnitude was? Not every earthquake detected is bad, for us anyways, some of them you probably aren't aware are even happening when they do happen due to how weak they are. Also, according to google, there's roughly around 12,000-14,000 earthquakes detected per year so I don't think it means anything really.

Quote:It is estimated that around 500,000 earthquakes occur each year, detectable with current instrumentation. About 100,000 of these can be felt.

Do you have any sources for this? I didn't see any media coverage for this. Sounds interesting.
